Mealey Electrical Contractors Ltd. were commissioned by Leicester General Hospital to upgrade their kitchen and chiller system.

The works consisted of:

• Upgrade of existing power and control system to the kitchen, food storage and food prep areas
• Removal of the existing Woodley system
• Installation of new cable tray system for the installation of power and control wiring to 22no new room coolers
• Installation of power supplies to condense pumps supplied from BMS Control panel
• Power and control wiring to the plant room area
• Installation of power and controls to three chiller units located adjacent to the plant room
• Power to new BMS control panel, alteration to the existing control to existing air handling units
• Alteration to existing power and lighting
• Installation of tray work for the installation of the Rehau pipe work system to supply the new room cooler

Mealey Electrical Contractors Ltd. were contacted by the landlord and client to put together an electrical proposal for their warehouse and office space. We put together a design for the lighting, the power requirement and the fire alarm. Once the client was satisfied with the designs, we costed the project based on the design that was put together.
