Mealey Electrical Contractors Ltd were asked to quote the installation of an AIRFOX DISO flight simulator and a low-speed wind tunnel at De Montfort University. We later won the contract and began to complete the works.
With the introduction of new courses at De Montfort, Mealey Electrical Contractors Ltd developed and installed a De Montfort specification and design of an AIRFOX DISO flight simulator and a low-speed wind tunnel. This would be for students studying Aeronautical Engineering to develop their skills and understanding by using the new flight simulator and wind tunnels.
A brief description of the works carried out:
- New lighting
- Power supplies
- Developed and installed the electrical installation working alongside the AIRFOX DISO flight simulator team
- Developed and installed the electrical installation working alongside the low-speed wind tunnel team
- Tested and commissioned the flight simulator and wind tunnel
